The goal is to provide a home for digital writers and bloggers that lives entirely on the blockchain. Nuance is built to return blogging to its decentralized roots, where the relationship between writer and reader is direct and free from centralized gatekeeping.

Objectives

• Removing Platform and Acquisition Risks: Operating as a DAO eliminates the risk of the platform being sold to a centralized entity or changing its fundamental terms to the detriment of users. The infrastructure remains owned by its community.

• True Ownership: Writers deserve absolute control over their data and work. The platform provides the tools to prove originality and maintain sovereignty without relying on Web2 intermediaries.

• Community Governance: Instead of top-down decisions, the platform’s direction is shaped by the community through a DAO. This ensures the rules serve the creators, not a private board of directors.

• Fair Compensation: By removing middlemen, the protocol enables direct support through tipping, subscriptions, and limited editions. Value flows directly from the reader to the writer.

• Censorship Resistance: Leveraging the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) ensures that content is tamper-proof and stays up as long as the community wants it to.
