Getting started reading and publishing on Nuance is pretty quick and straightforward. This section will help you learn about the things you may need at the beginning and most basic functions.
You will see the blog feed just below the search bar. This is the area where published articles are shown to you. You can use the tabs between the feed and search bar to change the feed options.
The dropdown menu on the right will help you filter the time range. This menu is only active in the Popular tab. How to access your personal articles is explained later in the wiki.
The Writers tab lists articles from authors you follow. This is the most convenient option to follow the content of your favorite authors.
The Topics tab allows you to easily access articles published on the topics you follow.
The New tab allows you to access recently published articles by sorting them from newest to oldest.
The Popular tab allows you to review the most applauded and trending articles. When you click on the Popular tab, the dropdown menu will be active on the right side of the screen, allowing you to filter the time range. In this way, you can sort popular articles daily, weekly, monthly or all time.
If you registered using Internet Identity, Google NFID, Stoic Wallet, or Bitfinity Wallet, clicking on the corresponding button in the login panel on the home page will take you directly to the login flow. Clicking Other options will display all available login methods.
For example, if you registered with Internet Identity, the flow will verify your user identity and log you in.

Get connected with people, stay informed about articles, and always be in the loop with the notification system.
Notifications will keep you updated on comments and replies, applause recieved, new followers, new articles from authors or topics you follow, new subscribers, and sold premium articles.
The bell icon in the upper right corner will notify you if there is a new notification. Just click on the icon to see details about your notifications.
You can change your notification preferences for comments and replies, applause received, topics and authors you follow, new followers and premium articles by clicking the settings icon in the notification panel.
Your profile home page allows you to view various statistics about your time at Nuance, as well as access your articles, Limited Editions, and activities. You can also update the information in your profile from this page.
To access your profile page, you can click the Profile Icon, then click My profile. Alternatively, clicking your username on the left will take you to your profile.
Your profile statistics will appear in the middle of your profile page. On the left, there is a panel where you can view your articles, followers, people and topics you follow, subscriptions and subscribers, wallet, and active Limited Editions. There is a button right below that allows you to quickly create a new article. In the upper right corner, there is a button that takes you to the profile edit page.
You can change the display name, biography and the links of your active websites on the profile edit page.
On the My articles page, you can find your drafts, the articles you have published so far, or the articles you have sent for review if you are writing for a .
You can click My articles on the Navigation Menu, click My articles on your profile page, or click x articles published below your profile picture on the home page to access your articles.
You may view your articles in various statuses using the My Articles tabs on the My Articles page. For example, the Drafts tab displays articles you have saved to work on but have not yet published, while the All tab lists all of your articles regardless of publication status.
You can access your wallet to check and manage your tokens that you can use on Nuance. You will frequently visit your wallet to control your balance and check the tips coming into your articles. To access your wallet, simply click on My wallet after clicking the profile icon, or alternatively, click on My wallet from the left panel on your profile page.
Statistics such as your wallet balance and other related information will be displayed in the center of the screen. You can send and receive tokens by clicking the Deposit and Withdraw buttons below. Your transaction history will be displayed in the bottom feed.
When you click the Deposit button, a modal will appear with the necessary information for transferring tokens to your wallet. When you select the type of token you want to deposit into your wallet, the modal displays the address you can use for transfer. You can add ICP, NUA, and ckBTC tokens to your wallet.
You can use the Withdraw button to withdraw balance from your wallet. The opened modal will ask you which token you want to withdraw, the withdrawal address and how much you want to withdraw. Your transfer will be confirmed once you have entered the required information, accepted the general policy, and pressed the withdraw button.
You can use the Search Bar feature to easily find articles, people, Limited Editions and topics. To access the search bar, just click on the articles tab on the home page. You don't need to register or log in to use this feature.
Your search results will be categorized as Articles, People, Limited Editions and All for easy access. You can browse the sorting options from the dropdown menu on the right of the screen.
Searching with hashtags is useful when you want to search on spesific topic. For example, searching technology with hashtag will allow you to find and follow this topic.
In the upper right corner, you will see a set of icons representing simple functions and a navigation menu when you sign in.This allows you to easily access your articles, Limited Editions, profile, wallet, and article NFTs or get started writing with a single click. It also allows you to quickly make searches, access your notifications, and switch between dark/light modes.
When you click on the profile icon, you will see options that allow you to easily access your articles, Limited Editions and wallet. You can also go to your article creation screen with a single click from this menu.
Alternatively, you can access your articles, Limited Editions and wallet via the navigation panel on your profile page. These navigational features are effective in taking you to the page you want to go to without the hussle.
The bell icon represents your notification panel. Notifications keep you informed about what's happening and keep you in the loop.
Want to make it easy for your eyes? You can switch between Dark and Light modes with Sun/Moon icon.
By clicking on the Meatball menu (3 dots), you can access pages where you can get information about Content Rules, Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, as well as access our community platforms such as Discord and OpenChat.
To create content, follow people and Limited Editions, and interact with other users, you must first register.
You can register for Nuance using either:
Step 1: On the Nuance home page (above) select either the Internet Identity (II), NFID, Stoic Wallet or Bitfinity Wallet register buttons on the left hand side of the screen. Once the flow is completed, you will be directed to the "registration" page (below). To access Stoic and Bitfinity Wallet options, you can click "Other options".
Step 2: Create your @handle (which cannot be changed), and your display name (which can be changed). You can also add an avatar.
Step 3: Accept T&Cs and select Next.
Step 4: Start blogging, reading, following, commenting, and applauding.
NB: We have a known issue with Stoic Wallet registration which requires clearing cookies to register successfully.
NB: If using Brave you will need to ensure you enable cookies (shields down).
